Sound Meditation?


In a world that moves so quickly, it is essential to slow down and reconnect with your inner wisdom. Sound meditation offers a sacred pause—an opportunity to listen deeply and come home to yourself. 

In a sound meditation, you'll begin with guided breathwork to calm your nervous system and settle your energy, preparing you to receive the healing vibrations of sound. Laying down comfortably, waves of soothing frequencies from overtone emitting instruments-  such as gongs, singing bowls, chimes, monolina, drums and more -  wash over you. By actively listening to the sound, you  enter into a state of meditation inviting deep relaxation, emotional release, and inner clarity.

This experience is like a full reset for your mind, body, and soul—restoring balance and harmony down to the cellular level.

- including your thoughts, emotions and body.

According to the Law of Vibration,  you don’t attract what you simply 'want,' but rather what aligns with your current vibration. 

Higher vibrations like love, gratitude and joy create expansion and flow, while lower vibrations, such as fear, stress and stagnation, can lead to imbalance and dis-ease.

Using the power of consciousness-expanding modalities, these journeys provide a safe container for release, renewal, and reconnection. Let go of what no longer serves you, rewire subconscious patterns, and return to the essence of who you truly are.

As you surrender to the soundscape, you’ll be guided into deep presence—where every note, vibration, and silence invites you to listen more intimately to your thoughts, emotions, and body. A curated assortment of beautiful overtone-emitting instruments—Tibetan singing bowls, gongs, handpan, chimes, and more—creates a multi-sensory experience that nurtures relaxation, introspection, and transformation.

Held at Treetops Retreat in Topanga, our sound ceremonies offer the option of an overnight stay and access to our nature spa, allowing you to extend your journey in harmony with the land. Or, if you prefer, we can bring the experience to you, wherever you are

Of the Sound Ceremony

  • Your experience begins with intentional preparation. We guide you through simple steps to prime your mind and body, ensuring you arrive open and ready for the journey ahead.

  • We open the session with a discussion about the therapeutic properties of sound and how to engage fully in the process. 

  • Begin with a series of intentional breathwork exercises designed to awaken your body’s energy and prepare your mind for the sound journey. These practices enhance your ability to receive and integrate the experience.

  • Your voice is a powerful healing instrument. Through guided vocal toning, you’ll connect with your unique vibration, cultivating self-expression, regulating your nervous system, and deepening your connection with others in the container.

  • Christina and her partner, Pablo, will guide you on a six-hour sonic journey, playing a beautiful assortment of overtone-emitting instruments—including singing bowls, gongs, chimes, handpan, monolina, drums, and more. As you let the sounds wash over you, they invite deep inward exploration, opening pathways to the heart, and accessing the subconscious to rewire limiting patterns and beliefs. Throughout the experience you will rest comfortably with an eye mask, allowing you to fully turn your attention inward.

  • Following the journey, we gather for reflection and sharing over tea and light snacks. The next day, a one-hour integration coaching session offers space to process insights, emotions, and sensations that surfaced, along with practical steps to anchor your transformation into daily life.

Beyond the mind: Coming home to the heart

The mind creates our limits – trapped in overthinking, fear, and conditioned beliefs, we stay stuck in the past or anxious about the future. 

The heart breaks them free – breathwork and sound help you bypass mental chatter, regulate emotions, and enter into a state of heart-brain coherence. This shift moves us from Limitation (fear and control) to Expansion (intuition, love, and the present moment - where all infinite possibilities exist).


Rewiring subconscious beliefs

Your subconscious drives up to 99% of your actions, shaped by past experiences and conditioning. These deep-rooted patterns can empower or limit you, often manifesting as self-doubt, fear, or unhelpful habits. The key to creating lasting positive change in your conscious reality is by rewiring your subconscious. 

Sound meditation supports you in accessing your subconscious in a deeply relaxed, meditative state when your brain is most neuroplastic. Vibrational frequencies bypass the analytical mind, allowing you to release old programming, rewrite your inner narrative, and realign with your true self for lasting transformation.


Brainwave entrainment & altered states

Sound influences brainwave activity through a process called brainwave entrainment.
